Thanks for the compliments guys....
Thanks T3h_Clap for the help with the offset concerns I had but man your quick to say there knock offs. (seems a little like a negative comment though)
Two of my STi buddies including my self have expensive wheel BSS, Volks, Prodrives that are bent. I think here in IWSTi people bash them because the just they want to. People have a tendency to praise name brands but To each is own.
I think it's silly to invest in a set of wheels that are over 2 grand. Unless your truly going to benefit from a wicked performance wheel because your into lots of tracking and racing. Don't get me wrong, I think the STI's are worth every penny for the the best stuff. Too me I don't need to show and tell what name brand wheel on my daily driver/ occasional auto/track car. I prefer a nice look and believe me the Rotas are seriously used for track/racing cars. BBS's or not, my car still turns alot of heads and thats in a positive way...
GO ROTA'S......

If you like Rotas, fine. Notthing wrong with it infact alot of track car are using it. Why are you saying it is silly for buying original design for 2g tho. What is the different between bashing at Rotas and you bashing at original design?

I think is worth every penny on my Advan and Rotas dont have 18x10....... yet... lol

Here is my 2 grand wheels. 18x10 +35 Advan Rs w/ 265-35.

Rims are wider than your tires. Time for tires that fit and a wide body kit for the rims.

looks like that's the look he's going for. i actually think it looks hard as well. true, from the performance standpoint it's probably not that great, but it looks aggressive as hell. i like it

I will be nice try to explain to you since it is Sunday. I also think alot of people on this forum dont really understand what is behind all this. You speak kind of like widebody doesnt cost any money and if you get wider rims than you need them with wider tires with out any fitment issue.

First off to performance stand point. NASIOC - View Single Post - Get Stuffed Already !! the Official Subaru Aggressive Wheel Fitment Thread
This is the zerosport track car setting record time on time attack. Also what are you comparing with? I use 225 stock tires before and I went up 4 sizes to 265s. I do think my performance are better than stock.

Here is a USDM time attack.

Running 18x10 but 285 and the front 17x9 255s. I never been to track or autocross and Im not planning to so for me to get the "performance" I have to use 18x10 and 17x9 on the street?

Widebody are only using 255s with his 18x10.5. Mine is 18x10 265s on stock body.

Here is the spec for Dunlop Z1 265/35/18.
Tire Specs for Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1
The approved rim width range is 9,9.5,10 &10.5" wheels. How is my tires not fit 18x10?

If you dont like my style, fine. Dont make up bull **** saying my tires doesnt fit and performance are crap. You dont see me running around bushing people with stock wheels just cause I got bigger rims. Accept it or not our aggressive fitments thread are STICKY on NASIOC.

Thank you for the barage of information. However, I didnt make a single comment about the performance of the tires or rims. I assume if Dunlop wants this tire on a 10.5 rim then it shoud fit on your 10in rim fine. Then again you can fire a 9mm bullet out of a .357 handgun. Just because it fits doesnt mean its the best application for the job. It looks as if others have had fantastic results from this. I would follow proven track records, even if it doesn't make sense to the lay person. Im just a healthcare guy. I made my comment on the observation of the rim sticking out further than tire. I dont know why you got so insecure about it. Coping for insufficiencies? If you want to pounce all of your knowledge on someone, quote the person who made the comment about performance versus looks of aggression.

Now to the sense of this. All BS behind us. What is the benefit of using a 265mm tire on a 10in rim vs a 9in rim? You still have a 265mm foot pad right? Is it that you are just getting rid of all the play from the sidewalls? It would make sense, but it would make me think that you might concave the center of the tire, but the pictures do not suggest that in the least.

So yeah you are full of **** on your comments about my tires doesnt fit my wheels and need wide body to fit my wheels cause it certain I dont need widebody to fit it. My tires have a 10.7" section width and even Teh Clap on the board told me to get 265s. If you want to change the subject about running 9s or 10s on 265s and what is the benefit of it. Thats not my issue and I have no comment or concern about it cause is not important to me. Those time attack car are just some information that I want to share with the forum.

It is our style of modding. Just like you running 18x8.5 w/255-35 is that standard size for 8.5" wheels? no... but it does not bother me infact it look pretty good. Also you have no idea how much hard work people try to modified their ride. It is easy to sit there talking **** and picking about little things that they do when they are trying to do something new and push the limit on their ride. So yeah you can apologize about it but other than that we have notthing to debate about.

No I'm not full of ****, I stated my opinion, I never based it on fact so back down tiger. Until you rewrite a piece of parchment, you can choose to ignore it or be tollerant of it.

So basically what you have written here is Teh Clap tells you what to do with your car. Cool, anyother worldy notes you want to pass on?

Hmmm, I chose my 255-35's because it was the best conversion from a 225-45 17 to a suitable 18in rim and maintaining the overall diameter of tire. Just so my tach would be accurate and I wouldnt have any other mechanical issues that I had not thought of. There wasnt a style of modding involved. You want to look like a low rider truck...sobeit. Thats your style of modding. It is easy to sit her and talk a little smack about my opinion, if you are opposed to critics dont post, or try not to be so insecure. I have no idea how much hard work people try to modify their ride? Thats a bold statement from someone who doesnt know me. To be more factual, this is my 3rd Impreza, I've owned an 02, 05 and now my 07sti. I did everything to my first 2 WRX's(turbo swaps, injectors, suspension) Still just getting my current car warmed up... Dont lecture someone about not knowing or recognizing hard work. Anything else can be settled in bowling on the Wii.
