uggg.....don't make me worry so much. I am headed to Toledo this upcoming weekend and all I can think about is the horror stories about protests that people have told me. I debadged like 1 month after I got the car when I wasn't even auto-crossing. If anyone wants to argue that, they can take a look at my hitch. It would equal about 6 gabillion badges worth of weight. I really plan on having a lot of fun and I hope it doesn't rain. PS - thanks for all your help, it gave me a lot more confidence to stuff those tires on there.

Are you or Mundi headed to Toledo? If so let me know. I'd like to meet you guys.

I never quite understood the badging thing. I think some of it is for the cars that go on lots of different SP lines or classes (e.g. Firebird WS6 in AS vs. others in FS). I guess at nationals it isn't relevent since someone would likely know the car from other info, but for regions it would be annoying. It's not too likely someone would successfully pass off an STi as a WRX, especially when you open the hood, but that may have been the intention (purely guessing). Personally I wouldn't care about badges for an ESP STi, but I'm still under delusions of gentlemenly behavior in the sport.

No, unfortunately Wendover will be my one national event this year. I'm almost wondering if I should see about trying to snag a ride in an STS2 Miata just to help them fill out the class.

P.S. I managed to round up a set of 275/40-17 V710s, with probably two events left on them. I'll see about getting them fitted for our next event. I hate having only one set of wheels that big (255+) tires can fit on! But wheel prices are just too much to justify a fourth set. You made the right choice with two sets of 17x8.5s, sciolist.

Good heavens, gentlemanly behavior? How quaint and provincial.

Ez,

Those are Jdm lights.

KingOfImports (Vendor here) was running a "group buy" KOI website special that was supposed to end at the beginning of the month. However the price is still there.

"Group buy thread":
http://www.imprezawrxsti.com/forums/...ad.php?t=23358

Actual purchase page:
http://www.kingofimports.com/product...0&idproduct=12

You can get whatever you need from just the lights themselves to full pnp. I went the latter and purchased the plus package and am anxiously awaiting for it to arrive. That kit includes everything needed from the switch inside to the painted surrounds. It even includes the Jdm beam and foam which are needed unless you want to hack the Usdm beam. Total cost shipped from Japan was $599. Very good deal trust me.

Great choice. Why not go with an 18? Anyways, my first set was the Continental ContiSport2 tires in a 235/40/18. 2 weeks ago I put a set of Fuzion ZRI 235/40/18. I didnt have alot of money to spend on tires, so I went for the Fuzions. I have no complaints what so ever. They have a very hard side wall which is great for performance and they handle just as well as the Continentals. I have no rubbing issues (even with 5 people in the car).
