Spike of some sort.

or some crazy metal shard.

it had to puncture the tire too.

but i'll hold off guessing, lets hear the truth!

That's exactly what happened. I guess my front wheel ran over the metal shard and angled it just enough to go through my tire and wheel. Here it is...

Wow, I'm so sorry that happened to you. Honestly, what are the chances of a metal spike at that perfect angle destroying the rare LE28N? Yet alone your car. I'm sure there were many other cars on that same road. Good luck w/ the find!

I talked a wheel repair guy, said it could be patched up but won't be safe.

yea, finding replacements for limited models are hard. i think i have one, but i'll have a definite answer tomorrow.

That is a wedge for poured concrete walls. when you put 2 concrete forms together they have a slot that that will slide through then you take another one and tap it down through that oval hole. The wedge shape at the front then pulls the two forms together and secure them while you pour the concrete wall.

My guess is you were nearby some construction site and when someone knocked one out of the wall it flew onto the road ( Under pressure these things fly off like bullets when you hit them with a hammer , I know this because I knocked one out and it hit my rigth between the eyes and just about took me out . lol )
