IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (13) | I had Rota Torques for my winter setup. They are good for either a winter setup or track. They kinda cheapen the car a bit I think. Get what you pay for. |

| Amateur STI Driver | It's Rota...why use it??? Cheap knock offs to replace stock forged BBS wheels? I don't get it. Rotas use to crack under normal use and they had to recall the wheels...sure they fixed things but it's your call. Basically, I wouldn't degrade my car with a set of Rotas. And for those that use Rotas as your "track" wheel...uhh...aren't you suppose to use strong and lightweight wheels for track use? Why go the opposite!?!?! |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2004 Trader Rating: (7) | Rotas are good wheels, but they arent the stock BBS. I had a set of boosts and they were fine, but eventually I missed the stockers....had to go back. However, I can't really say anything bad about them in general. The only thing I noticed on mine was that the paint job was a little on the cheap side and the they would tend to chip easy. For the money though, you cant complain. |

| Lurker | Got some 17x7.5" SDRs for use as winter wheels. They're not as nice as the stock BBS wheel, and are heavier, but they seem plenty sturdy and suit my purposes fine. Anecdotally, I've never heard of anyone complaining that they had or have a problem with Rotas on an STi or an Evo. Besides, you're much more likely to curb your wheels than you are to break one. How are you going to feel after curbing an expensive, light forged wheel versus curbing a $175 Rota wheel? Just my $.02. |

| Professional STI Racer | Rotas are great for everyday use. I don't give a crap if I accidently curb them (not that I'm going to do that). I've used Rota Torques for my daily driving and winter driving. My BBS are for track days...cause if I screw up, the whole car is probably going to get screwed up |

Ive had 3 sets over the last few years,I use SDRs as my winter setup on my STi now and dont feel it "degrades"(lol) the car. They make a great wheel at a great price,so dont be scared off. Rudy | |

| Junior STI Driver | Chalk up another person who loves their Rota wheels!! They may be cheap (in terms of price) but the quality of my wheels are very good. I use Rota Torques as my winter and everyday wheels and they still look new after a harsh New England winter!! Plus to go along with this, the customer service is great!! SubyDude has his ish together!! Ease |

| Spiteful Old Codger | The two downsides to Rotas are authorship and weight. They are knock-off’s, and they are not the best strength/weight designs. They ARE very cost-effective, though. IMHO, if you have 30K for the car, you should be able to do better than a plagiarized design, but obviously opinions vary. This ad is not endorsed by this member.
