I think they look good, I don't think function is their priority. To each his own. I don't get it... some of you don't like it because they are running on ROTAs... its like the thread says, low budget and aggressive, Rotas ARE knock offs...
I wonder if these pics would get bad criticism if those Rotas were real RG2s or RSs...

I agree with KIR, any day now... wheels will be here!
I gotta get those freakin camber plates!

nope these cars are daily driven cars...

even if we are running Rotas its not like we copying anyone Style.

the first concaved (GTR Faced) Advan replica or real Advan happens to be Rotas on a Stock body Subaru in the states. same can be said about Emotions/TorqueR. so we no body is copying anyone here

thanks for the compliment tho..

nope they are goin to get even lower

i really hope when you guys both said that, you have hit the road course or some kinda motorsports that lets test out this suspension geometry. and not driving wreckless and taking every corner on public road as fast as you can.

as for function. these cars are daily driven cars. we dont see Road course on daily basis. so theres no point of goin completely function on suspension wise. Since we dont drive wreckless on every damn corner you see.

i bet 99 percent of time your car gets driven is on public road. i guess you really need all that suspension mod following the speed limit haha

Proper suspension geometry isn't just a high performance need. I feel it is a safety issue. I don't street race. Street racing is for douchebags. I do, however, go to all the open track days and such that I can manage. Whether on the track or the street, shouldn't the car be able to perform when and if the time comes and you need it?

Think of it this way. You buy a toaster, but it doesn't exactly match your kitchen. It would look better if you screwed it to the ceiling. So you do, and it looks much better in your kitchen. Great! But try making toast. You sacrificed functionality of the device for aesthetic purposes. I know this is a really stupid analogy. Sorry about that.

My car is daily driven. It is on coilovers lower than stock, but not slammed beyond the useful triangulation of the suspension. It actually rides better and performs better than stock, but I preserved the suspension geometry. STis are not good cars to lay down in the weeds.

All of that said, it's your car and you don't need my, or anyone else's approval to mod it. Do as you please. Just don't expect to post pics of slammed cars and not get a few comments from the peanut gallery. No offense was intended.

Hey, its not the way I would set up my STI (or would have before it got stolen), but I can appreciate the car magazine aesthetic. As long as no one has any illusions that dropping the car to the weeds improves the car's performance then I think we are all in agreement. Suspension, as always, remains a dark art (in that its hard to get right and easy to get wrong).
