Should I paint my rims ??

I have a 2006 white sti and I just got it tinted today. My rims are currently silver and I cant decide whether to paint them black or not. Any input or pictures would be appreciated

I painted mine black, I also have white 06, I get a lot of good comments on my wheels, even from the local Suby dealer.

All of this is assuming that your not powder coating [critics state'' P.C. weakens rim''] which IMO is true to certain extent i.e. heated too long w/crazy temp.
How ever,done correctly... im sure its safe,but you cant trust anyone these days.
BTW I have a OBP Sti w/ blacks race brand rims in col black.[a smaller co some how linked w/ 5zigan] and i purchased them from edge racing .com for $500 shipped from FLA.
No way do they compare to the bbs works of art that are oem[i still have my silvers]but ,good looking and cheap.

Contagious thread .Now i want my stored bbs set painted . It really shouldv'e been an option at purchase to have blk on blk .like the rb 320.

paint it black so you have an excuse not to clean the brake dust off your wheels after driving.

I would say powdercoat them but I know that some people say it is bad to powdercoat forged wheels.

Here's a DIY thread that I started showing how to paint the stock wheels black. I did it with with my OBP and it turned out great.

Painted the Stock Goldies Black!!
