need advice for tire size n brand

i got 06 sti with stock bbs wheel, can i use 235/40/17?, any recommendation of brand of tire?

Search is your friend, discussed over and over, not to mention everyone thinks the tire they are running is the best. Do some searching and make your decision.

I realize that you are new, and that you want new tires, but again, this has been covered numerous times.

235/40/17's will work, the best inexpensive street tire is the Falken Rt-615, and a few others....

235/45 is the stock size in Japan. That would be my recco, and yes, try and search.
