Default 2005 STI with 5x100

I am going to pick up my STI but notice this.

It's a 2005 with what looks to be 5x100 rims on it...Is this possible??

I have a set of rims I already ordered in 5x114.3 (Work Emotion XD9) I am getting worried they won't fit now

its not a 2005 then... unless someone was dumb enough to swap hubs... or perhaps its a wrx... or put fender flares on an 04... more pix?

I don't have really any more clear pics of the wheels than the one above.

Here's one of the entire car, It just got off the shipping truck so it's dirty right now.

I dunno, that scoop almost looks like an 04. Whats the interior look like? Does it look like an 05-07 interior?

Let's hope it's something as simple as mis-labeled wheels currently on the car.

Otherwise, the possibilities are more negative:

1. An '04 dressed up as an '05.
2. An '05 with '04 hubs.

um dude the 04-05 have the exact same scoop

From everything it looks like an 05, only explanation that makes sense is that he had the hubs changed to 5x100 for whatever reason. I dont think its possible for it to be a wrx with sti mods, i mean everything was done to look like an 05, do you really think he'd just use 04 hubs?

Contact your seller and ask what's up.

Sorry, just thought of a quick way to see if its an 04 or 05, check the coolant reservoir. If its metal its an 04, if it is plastic its an 05.

From the location of the DCCD controls, that looks like an 05. Something fishy going on here...

I read on a few other posts I found that the wheels could be dual bolt pattern. But yet the face/lip/or spoke can read another pattern. Let me see if I can find the link and post it here...

Some posts and a link I found maybe describing my issues. I am going tonight to test fit my new rims in 5x114.3 to make sure they fit

another members post - Wheel manufacturers are often lazy/cheap and don't change the castings between different sizes. I've seen this on Volks also. 5x100 is still cast in the wheel, but they're actually 5x114

A link - New wheels..

Just heard from the dealership that the coolant reservoir is indeed plastic - so should for sure be an 05. phew, will have to go tonight and see what the deal is with these rims.

I bet the wheels are stamped 5x100 even though they are really 5x114.3. Definitely double check though.

I'm betting on this too. My Gramlights have 5x100 stamped on them but they are 5x114.3 and fit on my 05. Check with the wheel maker and see what they say.
