you "should" be ok since it is shorter as far as rubbing.

and 245 on a 7.5" isn't terrible.

do not go to a 245/45/17.

Here are the RE01R prices on tirerack:

225/45ZR17 Price: $183.00 (each)

235/40ZR17 Price: $193.00 (each)

235/45ZR17 Price: $199.00 (each)

245/40ZR17 Price: $228.00 (each)


Which ones will give me the best overall grip for the dollar? Will the 235/40ZR17 work on a 7.5 in rim?
