Default Stock '05 STi tires...

I picked up my '05 about a month ago here in MN. The original owner had the stock tires swapped with Pirelli Pzero Nero's. When I bought the car he gave me the original tires with less than 10k on them. The STi is going to be my summer car so would I gain anything by swapping the Pzero's out for the originals?

It's about 100 bucks to have Tires Plus do the work so I'm just curious if there will be any gain over the Pirelli's that are on there now.

Thanks!

If you are just driving on the street, I have found that less sticky tires a bit more "fun". But, if you are going to be tracking/auto-xing I would recommend switching to the re070s.

$100 sounds about right for RE070s b/c they are a ***** to install.

make sure to document the condition of your wheels prior to mounting and balancing and make sure that if they screw one up they'll replace it.

mounting RE070s is never a fun job.

but they are great tires, and I'd do it.
