Default Advan Wheel

Hello,

Im looking at purchasing some new wheels and was wondering if 18x9 +25mm offset would fit on my 07 Sti. The wheels are the Advan Rz wheels. My suspension setup is Tein ss Coilovers and stock sway bars...

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks Kal

from what I know the RZ comes in a +25, 35 and 45... in the 18x9. The RS is the one that was offered in a 29 offset. I do not know if you can get a custom offset like 29 on the RZ. I did alot of research on this wheel as I also got a set on order in 35 offset in bronze coming. The 35 should sit a little more flush than the 29 did on the older RS.

why would you want an offset of that low? It isn't health for your suspension parts. puts a lot of stress on parts.

as with any mod you do to your car, wheels are a major mod as it changes not only the dynamics but the looks of the vehicle. our cars are designed with a high offset stock wheel so yes deviating too much from it could lead to issues although I have heard good and bad comments from people about running lower offset wheels. I am one of the opinion that I do prefer the look of a lower offset wheel as it looks so much better on any car. well to each his own.

here's what's needed to run a 9" +29mm or +30mm

Want to be Aggressive? Are you willing to do what it takes? » t3h_Clap’s Wheel33tist Blog

going to a +25mm in a 9" would require all of this work plus running 215s.

if you wanted to do alot of fender work (pulling) you could get the +25mm to work, but you'll still be limited in tire width.

if you want the "flush" look go with the 18x9 +35mm, you'll have to do similar work as the +29mm's just with less camber.

Apparently the RZ comes in a GTR face in a 35 and a 45.... but.......
I am a bit skeptical if the GTR face is possible in a 45 offset but then again if the wheel is designed differently than the RS than I guess it is possible. On the older RS you have to step down to a 29 offset to get the GTR face. I understand that offset alone does not determine the face of the wheel as Th3_Clap has explained this on previous threads. I went ahead and ordered the bronze 18x9 in a 35 offset as right now I can't afford to spend the cheese on coilovers and I am already on springs. Fender pulling/rolling and camber I can deal with as its fairly inexpensive to do plus I may be getting an 09 later next year. I found a picture of the RZ in bronze and its look yummy I can't wait to get them

They are providing the "GTR" face to the higher offsets simply to give people "GTR" face wheels.

they did something similar with the RG2 which are much more concave then the previous version RGs.

the RZ will simply have a spoke design to emulate the "GTR" face.

pretty lame if you ask me, but hey the RZ is still going to be a nice as wheel.

i already did all the research on this wheel since the beginning of april.. Just like the clap said +25 will fit but it will be a PAIN to get it to work. But no pain no gain

Since my car is a daily driver right now i went with 18X9 +35 GTR Face so it would fit... i could run less camber which will equal less tire wear. For tires i plan 235/40/18...

Im waiting just like you guys are... my wheels are already paid off..

Im annoyed to see so many people buying RZ though..

yea I agree but how many people have the same wheels here like RG2s, RS, Ce28ns, and so on... I am curious to see how much more concave of a face the 25 from 35 would be... the only pic I seen of them on a car of this wheel is on an Evo X but those were 19x10 in 35 offset..
yo KIR... what color you get??
