Default wheels for Silver WRX STi

Hello - my first forum post..

I am looking for replacement wheels for my Silver 05 WRX STi. Whenever I wash my car, no matter how hard I scrub/clean the wheels it still looks dirty. It is not too bad but I was wanting to know what a good replacement fit to the BBS would be as far as quality, light weight, etc. Not too concerned about the price but would preferably like to keep it to $2500 or less for the lot. I also came across lots of ppl who recommend painting the stock BBS. Has anyone painted them black on a Silver STi and how do they look?

Thanks

Have you tried using paint cleaner/polish/wax on the wheels? I have some Meguiars step 1 paint cleaner that does wonders when I get cone bite (marks) from cones at autocrosses. I'd say give that a try, unless your set on painting them.
