Hey guys,

Yes this is another post asking for opinions on rims. I'm sure a lot of people have asked already, but hey everyone's set up is a bit different so I figured I'd ask on my own thread.

So here it is. I have an 07 OBP Sti. Currently it's basically stock with the exception of RA mud flap already installed, and I'll be installing a V Limited style front lip and maybe some rear spats. I also have 20% tint on. So with that said the car definitely has the "black" theme going already.

I think I have decided on the size already, which will be 18 x 8.5. I want some thing that's a bit wider than stock, but not too the point where I'm gonna pay an arm and leg for tires every time.

The tough part I am having is deciding on the specific rims...so far I have narrowed down to 4 sets of rims, and 3 colors:

Rims:
Volk TE28
Advan RS
Advan RZ
Advan RGII

Color:
Time attack scheme, gold, metallic black

The part I am having the most trouble deciding on is the color. On one hand I do like the blacked out look with some red accent, but I also think it might be an over done color scheme. With a black car, and black rims, the rims just don't stand out much. Gold would be nice, but would it go too far on the other end of the spectrum - stand out too much? I don't think so, but a few of my friends have all said the same thing. The metallic black should be in between....not too dark since it has a shine to it to stand out, but not as much as gold.

So please guys, let me know what you guy's think and provide some advice. I'm curious to hear people's ideas.

RS and RZ are pretty similar if you looked at pictures, personally I do not like the spoke design so much as they bulge out from the wheel face if you look from the front or rear of the car. TE37 would be nice in volk's bronze color, I'd say pick between RG and TE37, can't go wrong with either. Good luck.

P.S. there is always the wheel expert T3H_clap you get get advice from, make sure the wheel purcahse will fit properly. Be warned, you might end up buying mutliplue sets of wheels after you contact him...

If you can afford volks, go with them. They are just one of the best constructed wheels out there. And they are forged as compared to the Advan's which aren't.

Thanks for the votes and comments guys. Forged wheels are definitely something I didnt mention but a good factor to consider as well.

Blindfold: I've read a lot of posts by T3H_clap and I definitely know about his knowledge. I will probably hit him up about offset later. But I'm definitely afraid having to buy multiple sets of wheels though lol. It would be nice, but hard on the wallet hehe.
