I would take a look at the Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec. New for the year and so far it's kicking A$$ at auto-x's. It is in between the RE0-1 and the 615 in price. I have my set on and love them so far. Not as much noise as the RE0-7's but stickier in my opinion. Just a lil softer of a side wall but not much. I got mine for 163.00 mounted and balanced.

Heres some of my pics. 245/40/17s

Just a few things to keep in mind.

Bridgestones are the stiffest tires as far as sidewalls is concerned. Jump on your RE070 and when you notice that it barely deflects you'll see what I am talking about. Also, they are the heaviest tires on the market due to that.

Azenis are the cheapest tire for the best grip out there and slightly softer than the Bridgestones. I don't have nothing bad to say abou thit tire aside of that they grease up a bit faster than the Bridgestones.

Michellins are the lightest tires you can buy but I think this is due to the softer sidewalls. I am not sure how grippy they are since I never ran any but micehlin knows their stuff. They are expensive too. I just got some Primacy HP's for daily driving because I am sick of the rough ride and I can tell you that a kid can deflect the michelin side walls. They are really soft but somehow they make them work nice.

Anyhow, I change tires once a year at least hence why I am a big Azenis freak. They are cheap. I got the michelins for $50 for all 4 of them from a friend that does some tire testing for Michelin hence why I got a set.
