is is possible for the wheel to just pop off is that what that means?

If it helps the lugs are 12x1.25

well I just did a search and found out that if they are 12 x 1.25 its ok is this true

Yeah, the McGaurds 12x1.25 is what you want. Best lug nuts you can get, so good that STi uses McGaurd. I bought these the other day. Super overpriced lug nuts but, I am G like that.
