I'd skip the Konig's. I had a set crack through the spokes on me a couple years ago. I caught the cracks while washing the car. If I hadn't found the cracks in enough time it could have been a disaster on the highway.

Very true. I'll pick those up instead so that I can have Drew's approval. I mean who cares that they cost $5k...I don't need to feed my kids. I would much rather have some e-thug like Drew be happy with my choice. After all, it is his car!! Thanks buddy!

well you got a bad ass engine setup, why skimp on the wheels? konigs are hella heavy and have had a bad rep since the 90's. i'm just sayin you can get some quality wheels for a decent price, you just gotta look around . if anything, at least let us know if they fit, it'd help someone out at some point i'm sure. ....btw i gotta say, just because i have works, doesn't mean i hate everyone elses wheels. there's more than volk, advan work out there for sure

e-thug?

come on, now.

I didn't say get the 57S Pros with a titan lip, those are very expensive.

I was thinking more along the lines of an 18x8 +45mm Enkei RPF1 in Gold

great MY04 fitment that is strong, light and inexpensive.

not only that, it's also not available in anything but 5x100 (the gold anyway) which means it wont be on everyones car.

but hey, as you said it's your car and you don't need my approval.

All I'm saying is I came here for some info on fitment. Instead I get ridiculed for MY choice of wheels for MY car. If you would have come at it like "While I don't like those, here's some good info....blah blah." Instead you continued to attempt to belittle me and my choices. As in usual NASIOC/IWSTI form, the rest of the mindless drones followed suit.

You last post was fine because you merely recommened some other choices. However, I want a set of 18s black with a polished lip. There aren't too many available so I went outside the "Subaru Norm".

Anyway it's all good. I'm over it. Thanks for you help...

I was more curious as to why you chose what you chose.

I don't see anywhere in this thread where I told you what to do.

also, when they do show up don't mount tires to them until you test the brake clearance, once there are tires mounted they aren't returnable (usually).

No problem Drew. I took your comments too seriously I'm sure.

Anyway I chose them because I love the 57s Pro but I can't afford them. I wanted another set of rims/tires for when I take my car to the shows. I placed 1st in the last five shows but I wanteed some new shoes for next season. That's why I was getting them to stand out during judging.

I admitted I f'd up on getting them before making 100% sure they would fit. The company I got them through is mounting and balancing them before shipping them to me. I called them to stop the order and get something different. I'm hoping to hear from them this morning...

Cancelled the wheels. I don't want to run a spacer.

Back to the drawing board.

sorry i'm getting in on this , but I also was thinking of purchasing these rims for my 06' STI and was also looking to see if they'd fit, but know reading this thread, I curious to know ? what is so crap about those rims ? and their knock off KONIGS ? I thought they were really , had no idea they had knock offs of those ?? what do you recommand ??? I'm looking personally for a deep dish as well as big as i can get for my car , but wanted a gold rim with chrome lip, just can't find any ?? any suggestions on which brands or companies might carry these rims ?? and please if you could tell me whats wrong with those KONIGS , I think there alright if only they were gold I would of been sold , Also looking to run 18" or 19" inch but keep in 8" wide and hoping i can keep 225/45/18or19 , didn't want to have to put 40's or lower on the rim ?? please help it's been months now waiting to get a set , summer is almost over lol
