Default Bridgestone RE 050A Pole position

I was wondering if anyone has purchased the Bridgestone 050A Pole position. Did it have decent tire ware etc. ?

Thanks!

I have had PPs on the front of my Corvette for about 11,000 miles, and I am very happy with the high grip and the fact that they are less than 1/2 worn. I have had them on my STi for about 5,000 miles;they have even better dry and wet grip than my previous Michelin PS2s ,and it looks like they will last longer, although it is too soon to say for sure. The RE050A Pole Position is the best street tire that I have tried, not counting faster-wearing race-compound tires like the Toyo RA1.

Has anyone compared the PP to the 01-R? My understanding is that the 01-R has even more dry grip with less wet grip. But the 01-R has a wear rating of 180,while the PP is 140.

The rumor mill is saying great things about the Toyo R1R. Has anyone compared it to the PP or another similar tire?
