Talking It's wheel time and I need your help.

Hey guys! I can't decide on what wheels to go with. I've done just about everything else to the car but wheels. It's on it's 'winter-spec' setting at the moment. I'm rolling on bilstein coilovers. Maybe you can post some ideas that would help sway my decision? Thanks!

I have the Ray's Gramlight 57fs on mine and it looks sexy as hell on black. I also have 245/40/18 with bilstein coilovers and there is no rubbing whatso ever. The drop looks very nice on those rims.

My budget is around $2k but I'd love to keep it under that cause I'll still need a good set of tires. Of course durability would become an issue if I wanted to penny-pinch but I live in CT. The roads here aren't too bad as long as you're paying attention.

I'm completely open to size. 17" or 18" wheels.. Doesn't matter. I'm not really that educated when it comes to offsets and all that but from what I've read thus far, you're the man to talk to Clap. I'm thinking of the Advan RS's but they're pretty expensive.. I love that concaved look.

Ride height can differ. You tell me.. I haven't really had the bilstein's on that long so I haven't found the best setup for them yet. With camber.. not really sure what will be best but I suppose having it be neutral or 0? Whatever's gonna give me the best grip but not be too harsh on the bearings or tires to the point of where I'm burning through set after set. As for rolling the fenders -- I wasn't really planning on that anytime. I'd like to keep the body somewhat unmolested..

ok, unmolested. low camber #s.

i'd stick with a 18x8.5 between a +43mm and +50mm

there are alot of wheels in this size.

a 235/40/18 will have zero issue on your suspension.

as for camber, you can easily run -1.5 all around and not have terrible tire wear.

terrible tire wear comes more from toe in or toe out. make sure you TOE is at Zero!

Exactly how bad are Rota wheels? I've read and seen so many mixed reviews on them. Most people tell me they're decent wheels but others say they're horrible. I don't autox although I plan to splurge a little this season. I'm more street/strip than anything. Is it all preference or are there real durability issues?

I was interested in the Rota Torques cause I can order the set in gold or 'yamaha black(gloss black).' I know that the CR Kai's are the same design and these are knock-offs of them.. but I wouldn't wanna spend the money on the CR Kai's and not have the color I want. Bronze and Grey aren't really what I'm looking for. I'd like to stick with either black or gold. Preferably gold!
