Disagree, RT615s are fine in the rain. Personally, I have never had a problem with them in the rain.

Of all the tires I've run on my STi(RT215's, RT615's,2 sets of 070's, 1 set of 01Rs, Conti extreme contacts, Pzero's), the 615's have been the worst in the rain and that is the reason why I have not bought a second set of these tires for daily drivers. I would not recommend the 615's for someone who wants very good wet handling characteristics.

To put my judgement of rain handling in perspective, I drive my twin 3 1/2 year olds in my car so I pay good attention to how tires operate in the wet/rain. Do a u-turn in the rain with the 615's sometime.

Actually, my biggest knock against the 615s as DD's is that I thought they were horrible in the rain. If money is not a problem, go with the 01R's and enjoy the performance and ride characteristics.
Ive ran 2 sets of RE01R's and 2 sets of RT615's back to back...

The RT615's grip just as well not better than the RE01R's in summer weather..after running 4 sets ide rather have the RT615's

There made for dry weather anyways, not rain

I bought re01r's about two weeks ago.It has lashed rain the last few days i drove and they are leagues better then the stockers in the wet but,not as good in the dry i feel.
Watkins Glen will be the real test.

You're right, I'd rather watch the carnage than be in it
