Question:

1. What are the pros and cons of fitting an STi with 15" OZ gravel rims?

Thanks,

A reply from Rallispec.....

David,

These 15" wheels will not clear the STI brembo brake system. They can only be used with the group N gravel brake setup. I will have to check to see if I can get Pirelli gravel tires....Pirelli does not have distribution set up for their rally tires in the US at this time. As for wheel size and odometer reading....the odometer and speedometer accuracy is dependent on the overall wheel & tire diameter. However, I can tell you that it is the rally tire sizing that will be a problem because these tires use a very tall sidewall so total diameter is larger then stock. For rally car this is a very minor issue (most rally cars use special distance meters that can be fully calibrated). The ECU does not rely on the speed readings for anything requiring great accuracy so it will not be a problem on that account.

Regards,
Dave
