Default best multi use tires?

just got 05 wrx sti... wondering what type of tire is good for both on and offroad use on daily basis..

goodyear eagle f1 a/s or bridgestone re960as are tops of the all-seasons.

then there's the nokian wr and wrg2.

Like I said in the other thread, the load rating is what's important, especially on a rough road. Tires have different load ratings even in the same size. The highest load rating I've found is 102 for Hankook's K106 in a 255/45-17, second is 100 in a 235/50-17 in a few tires. check out discounttiredirect.com tirerack.com tires-easy.com edgeracing.com

I'd recommend the goodyear F1 A/S They've been good in this year's Kansas winter snow and ice storms. More importantly ;-) the turn response on dry pavement is better than any tire I've ever had on my car and I have had some great tires. I'm thinking of running them all summer rather than put the RE01Rs back on! I auto'x them last week and on the very sandy course came close to setting FTD. And the price isn't too bad.
