| Amateur STI Driver | so i just ordered new wheels that are in a low offset (under +35) i was just wondering if anyone else with 2004 sti's run aggressive size rims with the 5x100 bolt pattern? since the hub is weaker than the 5x114 hub, how well will the wheel bearing hold up just for daily driving? my car has seen some autoxing when it was purchased brand new about 3 or 4 years ago, im pretty sure not a lot because where i live we dont have a track or course to do any autox events. it has not seen a track ever since and probably never will anyone running aggressive size wheels on a 5x100 bolt pattern please chime in as how long it has been since you had to change out your bearings This ad is not endorsed by this member. IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | I've been running 18x8 +43 tires for three years with up to 265/35R18s. I replaced the front bearings twice before I switched to six-gun's kit last spring. It might not be the wheels though, I also autocross 20-30 times a year :-) |

I've seen bearings go bad in one season of 275 V710s, but he was on stock bearings that already had 75k miles on them. just be ready to replace them, the longer they last the better. but just be ready.
