IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | I am looking to get some summer performance tires to replace my all seasons so they don't get run down this summer. Is there a good type that is relatively cheap? This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2004 Trader Rating: (2) | I'm rolling on the BFgoodrich KDW-2's. If you drive the summer with a fair mix or dry and rain, this is a great tire. Runs between $125 and $200 depending on tire size and where you buy. Treadwear is great (I have close to 28,000 miles on mine already and haven't quite hit the tread bars). Traction is fair for a wet/dry summer tire. There are much stickier tires out there but this tire also gives you wet traction and treadwear. So its a compromise. My only complaint is they are slightly noisy on the road. Not bad, hardly a problem in an STi since they are already loud enough. Here's a link to the stock sti size one: BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 Just my .02 on the matter. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | I'm thinking of driving year round on my winter tires after putting on cheap Goodyear F1 A/S. Turn in seems a lot crisper than my RE01Rs. They are just a lot more fun to drive than the RE01Rs or any other tire I've had on the car since I wore out the stockers ('cepting the r-comps kumhos of course ;-). |
