Default power washing OE bbs wheels?? good idea??

Hey i was just wondering if anyone had any good suggestions to get my gold OE bbs cleaned up for sale, i cleaned one up pretty good but still has some spots where road grime has stuck, so i was wondering if power washing them would destroy the finish

There are people who do it often. Just don't crank the pressure up to "media blaster."

your able to adjust the pressure on yours?! hah im too lazy to even pull mine out and start it up sometimes especially in the winter. but anyway, for me, i just wouldnt use the pencil-thin spraying nozzle as that would certainly scratch or destroy the finish. if you really care about who your selling the rims to, there's an awesome brake cleaner spray out there. otherwise, as best as you can would suffice as rims are rims and they tend to get dirty either way

I power wash mine no problems so far after 33k. I use the nozzle with the spry mist from about 3-5 feet away. and some good tire cleaner. and a brush.

i use a PW on my wheels EVERY single time i clean them... which is probably... 1-2 times a week in warm weather... obviously some of the brake dust is a bit more stubborn and needs aggitation and some chemical help but other than that it does a great job.

Wheel cleaner and a wheel brush doesn't get that stuff out? That's what I've always used and it has worked with no problems at all.

Now tar and asphalt is something else. That required goo gone, etc. But I only had that on the inside of the wheel, so it wasn't a problem.

if you are going to power wash, remove the center caps or else they'll be damaged

I would use P21s wheel cleaner, it does wonders. Spray some of it on the wheel, let it soak for couple of minutes and a nice medium pressure should clean your wheels in no time

Damn everyone is using a PW huh? I was afraid to use one in fear of stripping the paint. Im tired of scrubbing every spoke, just for them to get dirty again after 1 day of driving. Thanks guys.
