Default Track tires?

Hi guys. I've been looking for an answer but got no luck.
I drive a 2006 STI. Right now, I got a set of 18s Rotas for the streets, and got the stock BBS wheels with the R070.
I will be racing this year in Time Trials.. so I race the car every month.
Stock tires are perfect for the track but, I'll need some new tires soon.

So, I'm looking for a high performance summer tire. Something like the stock one's Potenza R070...
So my question is, which tire can give me around the same performance + or - of the Potenzas R070??
Potenzas are GREAT but the $ Its a little hi! So If theres a tire that performance almost like the R070 for less?
Falken Azenis RT625?
I'm not looking for comfort because I'm not using them everday, just for track..
Anyway.. If the difference isn't that much, I'll get the R070, but my focus right now at the track Its not time or so, Its knowing the car, the track, and practice.. So.. I think a $180 tire Its kind of expensive for the work I'll do...

Thanks!

If you're buying track tires, get track tires not good street tires. You won't be disappointed with a set of hoosiers.

It really depends on experience. A novice driver should still be on street tires, even on the track. And it's probably not the best idea to jump straight from a street tire to Hoosiers, as their breakaway characteristics are much different. For a first r-compound, the Toyo RA1 or R888 would be perfect. Or if you want to stick with street tires, I'd go with the Bridgestone RE01R, Advan Neova, or maybe the new Dunlop Direzza Z1. Apparently the Falkens have a tendency to get very greasy once they pass a certain temperature.
