Default 08 wrx wheels?

OK so my family just bought an 08wrx AWP, but the wheels are hideous. It's basically my DD for now, and I was wondering what's the widest I can go with these cars? 17x(?). I know offset comes into play, but I don't want to go borderline widest it can go. Just something more aggressive looking and obviously gold. Tire size info would be helpful too.

Where are you T3h_clap?

EDIT: The car comes stock with tire pressure sensors. How do I act upon that also?

I would probably rock some 17x8 rims. That should fit up nice. Not totally sure of the offset on the new WRX's.

If you can find some 04 STi gold rims...those would be nice. They are hard to find though.

STi goldies would be amazing to have, but they're expensive

What? You could probably get a set for 800-1200...maybe less if you buy singles.
