Default 17x9 +44 work kai fitment issue

I just picked up some work emotion cr kai 17x9 +44 but i'm having a problem clearing the 05 STi brembos in the front. it seems that the spokes are rubbing against the brakes so i really don't know how much extra space is needed, is there a SAFE way to get these wheels to fit or am i just SOL for buying them and not seeing if they fit first.

on the back of the car clearance to the coilover is half a finger and the bottom is about 1 finger.

looks so good in the back, i really want to make them fit

You can always try a spacer.

I think 15mm is the max you can go before you need longer studs. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on that....

I say 3mm is the max.

a 15mm spacer will cover nearly all of the stock stud.

you'll want to pick up some washers that you know the thickness of to test fitment and see how much clearance you need.

DO NOT MOUNT TIRES ON THEM, you can't return them once mounted.

the washers are only to find out exactly how large a spacer you need not for actually driving on.

if you find out you need more spacer than you're willing to run you return them.

if you find out you only need a small spacer and you're comfortable using them and installing a small spacer then you can keep them.

this answer Munkys question if they clear brembos.

It wont look weird with a 5mm spacer. If you have extended lugs you can run over 5mm's and be safe. Good luck..

god i hope a 5mm spacer will work. i have been waiting for these for a long ass time . how close is it in the front to fitting? i'll be so god damn pissed if a 5mm spacer isn;t enough. it is for the more concave 18x9.5 rota's so it's gotta be enough for these. i'll go to a 8-10mm though. just sux cuz i already got 5mm. i guess worst case since they haven't arrived yet, i'd ask spun keep them and put me on the 18x9 or 18x10 xd9 gb
