wheel looks DO deter majority of people from stealing it, but as stated above if they want something from your car they WILL get it.

Way i look at it (if i was a theif) i could go after the car with wheel locks, or one without. your choice, i choose without. Wheel Locks just deter (i'd say the majority or kiddies who want to steal wheels)

of course but if you had to choose between stock wheels without locks or 4k dollar wheels with locks which do you think they would choose?

*cough tow truck*

it be so easy, just find a buddy with one, or buy one. Tow it, if anyone questions it "Repo-sir, i cannot discuss this with you unless you are of law enforcement or the owner" if they are a cop or owner, just say you have orders from the bank, rofl.

If you do get stuck in that situation, I find it a lot easier to put a deep socket (just the socket) on and spin that. It has a little more mass than just the lug.

Not sure if anyone has said this but a dealership should be able to take it off. I work at a Honda dealership and we have a master set with all of the different Honda wheel lock keys that came on a Honda stock. In fact, when we take wheels off, we never use the customer's wheel lock key because it may get broken. The Honda keys are assigned by colors (red, blue, green, etc...) and Subaru may have a similar system. I would just call them up and ask.

Wheel locks are pointless....Either of these methods is what thieves will use when stealing wheels....Usually the only person wheel locks prevent from removing wheels is the owner themselves.
Haha, I was about to say the same thing. That or the "gator" socket will take it off as well. All these are techniques thieves use.
