Default 265's on 18"x9"s with no mods!

thats right, and it doesnt rub! no trimming, no rolling no mods at all, stock alignment and prodrive springs. 265/35R18 kumho ecsta mx's on 18"x9" oz ultraleggera's. +55 with a 3mm spacer for strut clearance.

edit: you would need a thicker spacer if you run camber bolts in the back!

sweet, no rubbing anywhere?

even under aggressive driving?

can you get some measurements of ride height, strut clearance and trailing arm clearance?

as long as you don't plan on upgrading to coilovers you should be good.

EDIT: also post this up in the "does it fit? Look here first" link in my sig.

i drove aggressively as i could with wet cold roads. i went over a whooped out bumpy turn that almost makes my head hit the roof, i turned the wheel to full lock and did a fairly fast circle, so far i cant get it to rub. so far from a quick look the closest point is the tire to strut at appx. .25". i couldnt use rear camber bolts with these spacers or the tire would hit the strut. after i check the fender clearance better i *might* get some 10mm spacers, longer studs and camber bolts.

ill get some measurements soon.

awesome, keep us posted.

I'm going to have to add this to my list of known fitments.

this is the highest offset 9" wheel i've seen fit.

after measuring a lot i was aiming for the high 40's (48 ish) but as you know its not easy finding anything like that. i figured i can always push a wheel out with spacers so starting high is better than starting low. i was really worried about caliper clearance on a +55 so i originally only ordered one. i was shocked to see it had over .5" with no spacer!

The Prodrive springs do make a big difference!

I have 265/35/18 on an 18x8.5 +45 and while completely stock, I'd rub. I had my fenders rolled, and under really aggressive cornering, I'd still rub!

I got prodrive springs, and I no longer rub going around the same corners aggressively!

It sounds like your setup ia a little more ideal, since you didn't have to do any fender rolling...

Good work!

Where do you run the spacer...front or rear? I assume the rear...

I guess so...if he was in the high 40's maybe it wouldnt be as close. But...I would think that he would have enough clearance at the strut since he is on the stockers.

Could I ask the OP for some pictures of the clearance at the strut?

a 8.5" +53mm is cutting it close with wide tires. we all know the 8" 53mm and 275 V710s don't work without spacers.
