| Junior STI Driver | If this has been covered, sorry I missed it. I just had my first look at the 08 sti. i was disappointed about the tires- Dunlop's. If possible, could someone include links to threads on this? Are my 070's in danger of being discontinued? How are the Dunlops? I assume the new tire is more "civilized " and that means handling has been gained in other places besides the 070's famous stiff sidewalls?? Thanks This ad is not endorsed by this member. | Junior STI Driver | I am into my 2005 sti ( with my lenders blessings ) for the long haul. Having said that, is the 08, improved in the handling dept? And even with supposedly ( don't get angry, just hearsay ) "downgraded" tires? |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | The ride is softer in the 08 no doubt. Even going to the 18" rims the tires have a softer sidewall than the 17" re70's |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | quite a few people here like the re01r over the re070. those are my next tires. don't freak out over the re070 not being OEM anymore. yes it is a good tire but it's not like it was the absolute best tire in the world. |

The re01r are not as stiff- sticker perhaps. The turn in, the lateral cat like moves in this car, are my thing. i have never known another tire, and am hesitant to switch. Make sense? Thanks This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. | |
