Minor Sidewall Damage

Found some minor sidwall damage. A shop took a look at it and said that I should be ok and that it's no safety concern. What do you guys think? These are Bridgestone Potenza RE960s and have ~8/32 tread left.

I wouldnt worry about that at all. I've seen guys rolling around on way worse without problems.

How bad was their sidewall damage?

Uh i don't have pics or anything, nor did I take measurements. Let's just say I have seen some guys on much worse. And by worse I mean deeper and longer. If your tire guy says it's ok, you should trust him. Or if you don't trust your tire guy, get a different tire guy.

If you are really that worried that you can't sleep over it, then just get a new tire.

I wouldn't stress over that, especially since an expert said that you'd be okay.

Think there will be any sort of chemical reaction if I epoxy that loose part shut so that it is not flapping around and doesn't get worse?

if you dont see cords, its fine.
