from the specs provided by Yokohama it's a rally inspired wheel with the spoke design and casting to be as strong as a real rally wheel. Of course they don't use 18" for real rallying.

for a cast wheel 18X8.5 weighting only 18.5 lbs. it's pretty good.

The subaru WRC team uses 18" wheels for tarmac rallies.
