Default New Wheel Testing

I decided to test my new wheels to see how it looks and the fitments. It seem like, of course, the front I need some 10mm spacers to clear my brakes. I'm hoping I can get away with 8mm.

The wheels are Enkei NT-03+M in 18x9.5 40mm offset.

Some Hooisers in 275/35/18 should be here next week and I will test it with the tires to see how much mod do I need to do to my rear fenders.

Let me know what you guys think!!!

Thanks, this is going to be 95% Time Attack/TT road racing car. Maybe 1 event I will auto-x it. Plus, I'm in the process of building my own roll cage and this car is not street legal...

Oh, I'm looking for some wheels spacers. I have look through H&R and Eibach and I forgot a Japanese brand and I'm having a hard time finding 5x114 in 10mm which are hub centric. Can anyone point me some info on some high quality spacers? Someone that can custom make some, perhaps?

Dang dude, nice choice on wheel color. A bit different but I think it is going to look intersting. Now you have to paint the calipers black though and the brembo log orange

CCW will make custom spacers.

but doing one which is hubcentric to the hub and the wheel usually requires a thicker spacer 15mm or so.

Kics is the company you're thinking of.

they offer a two piece spacer setup. one is the spacer, then the 2nd piece is the hubcentric part. do you already have extended studs?

I really like that size/offset.

Well, those Brembo will be going away soon as I'll be getting StopTechs in 355mm set up, of course in black.

I will try and contact CCW to see if I can get a set of spacer custom make for me. I hope it will not cost me arm and a leg for it.

I will be getting some longer studs and it's very easy to install. That's not a problem.

I can't wait to put some tires on it next week and see how they look.

the CCWs I got were $50 a piece and I got four 15mm ones.

Chip is the guy you're going to want to talk to.

Silly question: Why are there two holes for valve stems?

Back OT: That orange is wild! I'd be real iffy about it on a street car, but on the track anything goes. It's cool seeing them on yoru car though because I have a set of rims with nearly the same offset and size (18x9+40) so I can really see how far the rims will stick out. Being a 1/2" smaller in width, that means the outer lip will be perfectly flush with the body. Teh_Clap said it's be perfectly flush. He's da man!

Mug, I added some emphasis to your first post about needing the spacers.

Don't want people to get confused and think they clear the brembos without the spacers.

still a great track setup.

Not to hi-jack the thread or anything, but is it commonplace to use spacers? It seems that it is accepted a lot more with the suby crowd more so than any other I've ever been a part of...not saying that is bad, just wondering....I've always thought you should stay away from spacers...but then I am not an uber wheel genius like Mr. Clap is...

In PA those wheels would count for the 10 square feet of blaze orange you'd need to hunt!

Seriously bold, but I like em! +1 for originality

I don't suggest using them if they can be avoided.

for track wheels or autox wheels it's not a terrible solution when the car is setup to handle it and they are hubcentric to both the wheel and the hub.

Can you briefly define "setup to handle it"....does this mean stronger studs?

Longer studs if spacer doesn't have studs as part of it.

suspension handle the new lower offset.

that sort of thing.
