I am running that with the Tein SS-P and I used to rub a little until I raised the front 1/4". Now it is all good..

the recommended width is 8.5" minimum. i never stray from the guidelines. you will have tire problems if you do.

I'm running 255/40 r17 on stock bbs wheels (8in version). With jdm pink springs and -1.7 camber front and -1 on the back and i have no rubbing issues. Only thing ive noticed is that the sidewall isnt as stiff as the R070's and you have to run 36psi or more in order to compesate for it. Other than that they are fine on 05+, 04 has rubbing issues.

Uhhh...I am curious what tire problems do you speak of? I havent ran into any problems running oversized tires on smallish rims.

You could run 255's on 7.5" rims...hell people have even fit 275's on 7.5" rims believe it or not. I like a little bulge for rim protection but 255's will bulge quite a bit. I ran 245/45 615's on my 7.5" BBS for years. Will it be for the street or the track?
