Default Enkei RP03's???

Anybody using RP03's? I'm looking at upgrading my rota torque's to something lighter/stronger for autox.

These are dedicated autox wheels w/ v710's (17x8 48 offset) for my AS sti.

Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated. I am just wondering if they will be worth the money when I already have a set of rota's.

do you plan on staying in AS forever?

if not, I wouldn't spend money on another set of skinny wheels.

might as well put the money under the mattress for when you go to BSP

yes...this car will be AS forever

forever being at least the next couple of years anyway. I love the class even if I don't have the ideal car for it. I am competitive, regionally and nationally. I ran SM in my last car and it just feels like you are constantly modding to keep up. I am more interested in concentrating on the driving and not the modding.

These wheels will allow me to shave a few pounds off. Just wondering if it is worth the extra cost.

I don't think the performance difference would be too noticeable by shaving a couple lbs at the wheels.

although if you're trying to compete nationally and have already fully prepped the car for AS (Ohlins, 275s, big front bar), then it could help.

If you don't already have shocks, that'd be the next thing I'd do for AS. Ohlins fixed perch.

I have been thinking about shocks...that is going to come this season if I can't keep up.

Last years national results were a 3rd at the NT I went to and a 1st in my first Pro Solo. This year I am planning on 4-5 national events and if I am not keeping pace, Ohlins may be on the way.

Wheels are a quick and easy way to shave weight in a class where you can't really do anything to reduce weight.

the Shocks will have a noticeable difference, where the 2lbs lighter may not be as realized on the solo course.
