IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I found this one, but it's matte gray. Not too sure if I like the look of my wheels appearing to be covered in brake dust.......I've got a silver car, so my personal preference is something silver, or bright and shiny..... TRMotorsport MT1 Matte Grey That wheel looks awesome from what I can tell. 17.5 lbs, 8.5 inches wide and only $269....... FYI-I don't track or auto-x my car yet, so I can't justify spending $490 on the Gram Lights I want. I just want to get rid of the ASA JH3 7.5" wheels my car came with come springtime and put on some RE01R's in 245/40-17....I think it'll be a world of improvement in handling....... Any alternatives? IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | yeah if none of you guys can find an alternative for me I think I might just get them anyways in a few months. Seems like too good a deal on performance to pass up because of looks.......... No lame "STI looks ugly anyways" comments, guys. I think Ryoko looks hot as hell with 3 coats of Klasse all-in-one slathered on her...... |

but the 57 max and optimise are pretty reasonably priced. Also look into the Work CR Kai and XD9 and XT7 You can get them for around $1300-1400 PM garagespec.com they can get you pretty good price on wheels. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Unfortunately, a lot of the wheels I'm seeing(including the ones you guys are trying to help me out with) are not 8.5" in width, even in 18" versions. And Tire Rack is the only site I've found that lists the weights for the wheels.... Just to clarify: Must be 8.5" in width. Prefer 17" diameter because the tires are MUCH cheaper Must be under 20 lbs. These TR1's are 17.5lbs, so consider the competition here being that they're only $268. I haven't found a wheel yet that is 8.5" wide, under $300 and under 20lbs yet............or at least haven't been able to tell how much they weigh.... T3h Clap, I need your brain power here..... PS-What else is there to consider besides RE01R's? Falken 615's? What are the price differences? The reviews I've heard on tirerack, including tirerack.com themself, are stellar.......and at $160 or so(depending on size on 17" wheel) the price doesn't seem too bad... EDIT: Sorry I forgot. Thanks for the help so far guys |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2005 Trader Rating: (5) | I think the TR wheels are great. I bet they are made by Enkei because it is mentioned that MAT technology is used (which is what Enkei uses). When these wheels first came out they were $100 more, this past summer the price dropped. I bought Rota Slipstreams in 17x8.5 earlier this year and if these were $260 then I would have bought them. I think they would be great for the track and good daily wheels too. They look awesome also. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
