OZ Ultragerra's on Stock Suspension

I have finally narrowed it down to the above wheels in 18X8 for my 2007 Limited STI. I have a stock suspension and need help on size tire to get. The offset is 48mm. Will 235 40 18's work the best?

Any comments from those with these rims would be greatly appreciated. T3HClap....hope to hear from you as well.

The price on these rims is awesome on tirerack.com and they are only 18.4 lbs a wheel...Seems too good to be true.

I have em...very nice wheels. I am on 225/40/18...I originally got them for my Speed 3 so they had the smaller tire on them. 235 will fit no problems at all.

you could get away with a 245 if you want....

jnprn, what did you use to drop ur STi? those wheels look pretty good

Clap probably knows better, but I think a 245/35 would match the original diameter the best.

I dont want the 35 profile though. I am afraid I will damage the rims more likely. I live in Philadelphia suburbs and travel on some pretty crappy roads. That is why I was looking in to 235/40/18.

235/40/18 will fit no problem and is a very good match for an 18x8 wheel.

the +48mm offset and the 235 tire will be a very good match for any future suspension setups you may choose to do down the road.

Am I at any disadvantage if I go with 225/40/18's. I ask because I believe they are cheaper.

I have 225 series tires and don't seem to have any traction issues. I have 323whp and 380wtq and they grip like velcro. I eventually like to go a little wider in the future though.
