did the '05's get wider rims and tires?

Wheels yes, now 8.0" wide. Tires no.

Plus a different offset. You can tell an 05 by the blackheadlights and the rear fender flares.

from what I recall offset is 53.
Is that different on the 04's?
It is written on the rim inself on the 05's.

USDM STi 2005: got wider rims (7.5 -> 8.0inch), same 225 rubber.

JDM STi 2005: wider rims + 235 /45 R17 rubber.
