| Junior STI Driver | Any suggestions. I do a lot of highway driving, about 25 miles each way to work every day. I also do about 5 autocrosses a year. I'm looking for a really quiet summer tire that will still do well at autocross and have at least a 200 tread-wear rating. My current summer tires are Dunlop Sport Max. They were pretty darn good for autocross, but they're actually much louder then my winter snow tires. Tire noise is never good. It takes away from all the good noises the STI makes. but comparing a 400 treadwear to a 140 treadwear the 400 will last longer. (assuming it's being used in the way it was designed to be used. this goes for both ratings). | |
