IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | well i noticed this morning that my tire was flat, so i took it off to check it out. i found a crack on the inside of the rim that starts at the tire and goes towards the center of the wheel(about 1 inch long). i searched but couldn't find a good answer: is this wheel toast now or is there any way to fix it? I'd be surprised if it wasn't fixable, though you might want to try to warranty it if its the stock wheel (even if its not stock, you might be able to get it fixed by the company you got it from) if there's no sign of curbing the wheel, I'd say you'd have a fair chance of getting it covered. good luck! | |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | sometimes you can get a crack like that cleaned up and welded but it can be costly and impractial as well as your wheel may have other issues if it cracked from heat/oldage/etc (more damage soon.... ticking timebomb) instead of just one curbage. |
