BBS Wheels - what are these? RG-R's?

Hey guys, I'm looking at these wheels right now that a vendor has a great price on. The only thing holding me back is the lack of info on them.

Info from vendor:
- Optional JDM BBS STI wheels
- 5x114.3 (05+ fitment)
- Clears Brembos
- 17x8
- et +53mm
- ~17lbs/wheel

I've searched for a while now, and can't seem to find these wheels as options on any JDM or USDM STI. They look like the RG-R's, but I'm still uncertain since I can't find the specs online.

Anyway, if anyone has any info, that'd be great.

I am not certain, maybe someone can chime in here.

I can say for certain:
They are beautiful.
They look like RG-R's.
They are dirty.

RG-R those are my dream wheels (drool)

anyways they are like $600-700 each and man thats alot of $$ I would prefer them in gold however like the dirt rally ones!!

RG-Rs have fewer spokes...Those are more like RG-Fs

^Yeah, it's weird. These have 20 spokes, while the RG-R's have 16. The RG-F's have 20 spokes as well, but the center section is different:

hmmm, kinday sketchy..Try and see if you can view the bbs engraved stamp that they have on the wheel..From that pic above i cant see it!! Tempting but remember, they could swap out the center caps..Just an F.Y.I...But highly doubt that its rgrs.."boxer four" and "the limited project" are right though on spoke count.. GL

You can see the stamp in that picture, both "BBS" and "FORGED".

Remember guys, they don't need to be a model of wheel like RG-R if they're OE. After all, what model wheel is ours? Try doing a search over at the Subaru Japan site and see if you can dig something up on optional wheels

Looks like the bugeye optional wheel back in the days. If it is, it won't clear the Brembos. Local dealer here had 'em on sale really cheap. Test fitted them on my car and no go. Good looking wheel. Light and strong.

come to think of it, they DO look like the WRX optional rim - in that case, they'll be 5x100 as well, not 114.3

Not really.

The closest BBS style they are similar too is the RG-F...more than likely they are made just for Subaru and don't have a BBS "name"

They are definitely STI fitment - the vendor pulled them off his 05 STI. They cleared the Brembos.

That's why I'm so confused - all the specs are right... bolt pattern, offset, brembo clearance... but I can't find any info on them anywhere lol. That's comforting

those are SICK and rare if they are jdm 5x114 fitment and clear STI brembos.

love that style and with BBS forged goodness, you should buy them,
