5zigen FN01R-Cs in 18x8.5 +48mm come in a "hyper black"
Enkei RP03s come in a polished hyper black as well.

can we increase that budget to $2000 just for wheels?
yeah I can do that!

and to get large quantities of lip you need more than $1500.

are you willing to run a staggered offset front/rear?

i've got a hell of an Idea but I have a feeling you wont like the price, so I'll just keep it to myself.

and what tires are you hoping to run?

i've got a set of Mercury Silver RE30s coming this weekend

neochrome isn't the right word for that lip.

but hey, I'm not a nitpicker.

I am not so much concerned with how lip there is just as long as there is one...Staggered setup doesnt bother me...that's what I had on my Z.

do you ever plan on upgrading?

when i say staggered I'm only talking offset and disk.

the width will be the same front and rear as will the tire size.

Right now I plan on leaving the suspension alone. I lower the Z I had and started scraping **** all the time.

Upgrading the suspension doesn't include lowering to where you scrape on everything.

I was more concerned with fitment of the wheels.

the wheels I suggest greatly depend on your future suspension setups as much as the current one.

if you're unsure what you plan to do suspension wise then I'll be showing wheels that aren't much wider or very aggressive, since they need to work with any suspension.

what class are you hoping to prep it for, for autox?

I am not sure what class I am going to run it in. Not really worried about that part. I already have slicks that will be put on the Rotas as soon as I get new wheels. I am not super worried about performance, because wheels will probably be the last thing I buy for this car for quite some time because I am about to get married. So I would say plan on the suspension being stock for a while.

ok, so basically you're looking for a full polished wheel in 8" or 8.5" conservative offset and most likely a 235 tire.

17 or 18?

what size are the slicks you've got laying around and what model are they?

Sorry to sound like an ass but in my opinion just the thought of putting chrome rims on an sti should be a good reason for your ass to get kicked, you should get the car taken away from you and get banned from the community. Maybe even water-boarding. No but seriously, please don't do it.

Not sure about the slicks, buddy has them at his shop laying around said they would fit on my 17x8 rims. I want to go an inch larger on the new wheels though.
