IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | Hey guys, just a quick question and I think I already got my answer during the search, but I still want to make sure if this setup will be ok to run on my car ![]() I have a 2005 STi I am planning to run 18x9 Rota SVN +30 offset with some 245/40/18 RE01R on it. I do have coilover and I have 1.8 camber at the rear wheels. (I am on stock rims now) Will I be ok if I run this setup if I just raise the rear a little bit higher? or do I still have to pull or roll my fender? thank you very much ![]() (ps. will I feel some power loss due to the extra size and weight from the new rims?) IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | I will test fit the rim and see if they clear brembo or not, but I think they will clear. I have stance coilover (GR+) i know wider is not = better so I decided to run 245 or 9" but not 255 ![]() I am just not sure if I adjust the rear height is enough or do I still have to pull the fender ...may be I should actually try them out and report back? lol |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | I think +30 is way too low of an offset. You'll probably be poking the tires out by a good half inch or so.. Th3_ will chime-in, I'm sure. He won't steer you wrong. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2004 Trader Rating: (7) | the title is about a rota wheel, I was told by a Rota owner not to help Rota people, b/c I'm no help. j/kIgnoring the wheel and focusing on the size/offset. an 18x9 +30mm is not ideal fitment by any means. considering a +45mm is ideal and +40mm is pushing it. Are you willing to modify your fenders? (ALOT). to get a +30mm on you'll need to run alot of camber in the rear upwards of -3.0 degrees, and that's assuming your fenders are already rolled flush. what ride heights are you running? Sure you can make it fit, but it wont be right and you could be running a much wider wheel/tire package with similar rubbing issues if you just went with a proper offset. the +30mm is the evo offset. Are you simply looking for an inexpensive 18x9? or are you looking for an inexpensive 18x9 that looks like the RE30? |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2003 Trader Rating: (2) | just saw what they look like. the extra half inch isn't worth it, they look exactly like the 18x8.5's made for our cars. get some spacers if you really want to push them out from there. |

...I am actually trying to look for a set 18x9 or 17x9 with reasonable price and I want them in Gold ... The RE30 look + Tommy gold is actually quite good. And I think running 245 on a 9" can stretch the tire more than 8.5" I am currently on Coilover so i can adjust the height to avoid some rubbing let me know what I can do in this case Thanks! IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2004 Trader Rating: (7) | there are plenty of wheels that come in good STi offsets. Depends on your definition of reasonable. I've got a massive thread on here about 9" wheels, which are available and what clear brembos. what do you mean "in this case?" what budget are you shooting for?
