Hey guys, i didnt see any pics in the thread above so i was wondering, does anyone out there have their stock wheels powder coated a solid red? instead of black w/ a red lip, just a solid red? im considering doing that and blacking out the rest of the car, but not sure what it would look like

eeek. to each his own but i think that unless you went with a very subtle and dark red it would look a little too out there. If you go with a flatter, dark red it could be ok. ask someone on here to photoshop it.

would be a matte, "darker than STi" red on a black STi w/ 16% tint, so the whole car's pretty dark aside from the wheels..... can anyone photoshop this please? was also considering a matte black w/ a red lip

In my opinion subtlety counts for a lot.

A thin red line as an accent on a black wheel - Nice!

A completely red wheel - Not so nice!

Just imagine someone with a pair of high-top tennis shoes that had a red emblem or other detail on them. Now imagine that same situation where the shoes were a bright red (soles, uppers, laces, etc.).

You might decide "all red" is "too red".

Same with colors on the interior of a car - red stitching as a highlight - Nice! Fully red interior - Not so nice!

Thanks Upn, ill keep it in mind.... the wheels deffinately look good, but i was instantly kinda surprised / disappointed how they looked... ill probably end up black w/ red lip.... pretty interesting red ring around the HIDs.... different, dunno if it was good or bad, same w/ the ring around the grill... very nice though, very similar as to what im aiming to achieve w/ my car
