IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I live in Northern NJ and with the colder temperatures coming, its time to give the Potenza R070s a break. I saw the Continentals on Tire Rack. The price seems right (just below $100 each) and the ratings seem pretty good overall. I was thinking of the Bridgestone RE960s also. I am looking for a tire that will last me for awhile, as I put on a lot of miles with a long commute. Has anyone used the Continentals? If so, what did you think of them? Thanks. IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2004 Trader Rating: (4) | Can't comment on the Conti's but i've had Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's on my car for a while now (15,000+ miles) and they have been great. Their handling characteristics certainly aren't anywhere near the re070 but they are plenty for public roads. I've used them in the north jersey snow for the past 3 years and they have performed well. I'm sure a dedicated winter tire would be better, but i havn't had any trouble getting around in any of the big snows (if you can even call them that) we've had recently. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Good to hear! Yeah I thought about a winter tire, but then figured my re070's still have a bit of life left in them, but I dont want to be replacing a winter tire and a summer tire every so often. So figured I'm going to just go with an all season, then in the summer I'll put my re070s back on til they are done. From there on out, I'll probably run an ultra high performance all season. I'll check the Michelins. Thanks. Jeff |

![]() Also might want to add the Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S to your list of tires to check out. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | I used the Conti's on my old WRX and liked them alot... they're a lot better in the snow than Pirelli P-Zero Nero M/S. I'll probably get the Conti's again for winter for the STi. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | I just put my conti's on Tuesday night since it's getting cold here. They have done great in snow and rain. They obviously aren't as good as a blizzak in the snow, but they also last a lot longer. This will be my 4th winter on them, and they still have lots of tread, and decent grip. |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2006 Trader Rating: (7) | my g/f just got a set for her scion TC, they seem to be pretty good tires for the $$ IMO, i researched forever trying to find her the best tire that could handle the rain/snow without me having to worry about her, they are at 36psi right now (215/45/17's) they are pretty squishy in the corners, i'll have to bump up psi on em |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Thanks for all the feedback. I had the Continentals mounted and balanced last weekend. I have to say, they look good, and its actually a pretty smooth and somewhat quieter ride. Jeff This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
