Default RE01R Question

I plan on getting 245/40/17 RE01R's soon on the stock '05 BBS wheels. I know that they will fit with the stock suspension, however, will they fit on a lowered car, with BC coilovers? I don't want to spend money on tires, just to find that they rub when I get my coilovers. Also, fender rolling is a LAST resort. Thanks in advance.

I am running 255/40/17 RE01R's on 17x8.5 +50 wheels with Tein Flex coilovers sitting pretty low. I don't rub at all, not even on the race track.

as long as you're not running excessive amounts of camber using the bolts or a slotted strut you should be fine.

you wont come in contact with the trailing arm in the rear, so the only concern is your spring perches in the front.

I don't forsee a problem since this is a common size to run but what sort of clearance do you have now on your current setup?

Right now I have completely stock suspension, wheels and tires. So I assume all the clearances are stock. But am I about 80% sure that I will be getting BC racing coilovers around December. I would wait to get tires afer I get those, but I need tires now so I can't wait much longer.

you should be fine, worse case you need to run a small spacer or less camber with the camber bolt.

either one isn't bad when done correctly.

255's are to wide for the stock 7.5 wheels IMO

also the 04s have less fender clearance in the rear.

it isn't suggested to run that width of a tire on an 04.
