IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | If you want to strip it. All import o2 sensors Ive changed where not 7/8, it "fits" but is not the right size. 22mm is your friend. |

| Silver Member | The best trick is to disconnect the wire first. That way you can slide the closed end of the wrench onto it. This will greatly reduce your chances of stripping or other problems. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | word^^ It stops the wire from bunching up also. I talked to him about it last night, he has a header so its pretty easy. |

1 inch = 25.4 mm. 7/8*25.4 = 22.225 mm. It is only slightly bigger. Anti seize doesn't do much. It burns off. Last edited by gabedude; 11-14-2008 at 11:08 PM. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | i ordered my o2 sensor and it'll be here wed. i also bought a 22mm wrench, its kinda big unless theres a smaller one that'll fit in there a little easier. i asked and that was the only one, about a foot long. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I use a regular wrench as well on Subarus. I use an O2 socket with the notch on other cars. The front one is a ***** on the stock manifold. Rear one is cake. |

| Authorized Vendor | its the front one. good luck getting a regular wrench on it, gotta use the special tool, trust me I changed 4 of them on my 06 and there is basically no way to get a regular wrench on it with the frame and suspension pieces right in the way. With the o2 sensor wrench its super easy to do, just as easy as the rear IMO. O2 sensor socket and a 2" extension. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
