IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | SO there i was driving to KR motor sports and all of a sudden i lost power steering. ERRR??? then i looked at my voltage and it's like at 11.4 and dropping...pulled over prayed to god something didn't go wrong again. Popped the hood and was looking really really hard...DOn't know what to look for honestly just anything standing out of the blue. And it hit me....WHERE THE **** ARE MY BELTS! in my head *really? ..no really. OH C"MON MAN ..REALLY WTF ..where the **** are my belts!!! examined the road behind me and yes ..1/8 of a mile down were my belts. and something else that didn't look right. So I walked and walked...while sweatin ballz! and looked at this unique pulley type thing. just looked like " O " and next to it in the drain was a " o " but the o is filled up and smaller as if it were meant to fit in the other "O" Of coarse any guy would put 2 and 2 together. and Miraculously enough they fit. Well now that it fits wtf does it go?..walked back to the car and looked and realized that MY ****ING crank pulley came off. **** ME! SO i'm hoping that it'll have enough juice to drive to KR ms. came back with 4.2 volts thank god! thanks EDDIE u saved me with ur extra crank pulley..time to upgrade that baby holy crap! IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Gotcha. Our crank pulleys are actually a mini harmonic balancer. There is rubber holding the pulley to the crank. That's what broke (common on chevy V8's for this to occur). |

| Authorized Vendor | Get an ATI or one from ARFab, both are real harmonic dampers, not just a pulley like every other brand out there. With what you have $$$ into your motor you should put a nice pulley on it. It just so happens I carry both ATI and I can most likely get one from AR Fab. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Yeah you want some of that cushion in there. Our engines were designed around a harmonic balancer and deleting it puts more stress on the main bearings. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Wow!! I think that's even more amazing than hearing of someone's wheels coming off while driveing! I was riding in my buddies camaro when I was in high school, and I was staring out the window when something caught my eye. His right rear wheel went rolling right by the pass. door and turned slightly rolling off into a field!! hahahahaha Funniest thing I ever did see!! Good to hear that nothing serious broke!! I always wondered if a CP came off if it would destroy other things. Glad your back on the road in good shape!! |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I would NEVER buy ish from ar fab! I dont care if its a F'ing plate frame. You dont need a harmonic pulley, its not really that important, your crank and pistons have been balanced together already when it was built I hope. This is a very common problem period with subaru crank pulleys. I have the beatrush one and have no problems and fast spoolup. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | btw, since you ran your battery down that far you might want to look into another one. |
