There is this spot we found over on Lake Travis near Lago Vista. It is a nice drive from my house (not long, but cool roads to drive on going the back way). The park still only costs 5 bucks to get in, only rule is no glass containers. There is a beach portion, but there is also this island that has a nice beach area where only 4X4 trucks (and imprezas) can get to. We ran off the fisherman last time. Nice and secluded after they left.

I hadn't been to that park since 1995, and it has not changed much although the water level is low, hence the beach and the island.

not sure if it has been talked about yet... but that Texas Heat Wave show is coming up. had a few people tell me they go just about every year and it never lets them down. the after party's are SICK i am told

i'm not going to heat wave, i think its a waste of time. they do have some cool competitions and what not but it gets old quick.

and gabe you are talking about travis peak, its been a few years since i've been there too. but i know exactly what you are talking about.

Arkansas bend. Its a cool place and cheaper than Pace Bend (which is right near it on the other side of the lake though).
