Add meth and it will be fine on the stock block. The 2.0L motors can take a beating. I have always said it, but all of the 2.0L breakdowns were because people were running really really lean. (11.5-12:1 AFRs). I still say the 2.0L is stronger than a 2.5L. Think about it. What does the 2.5L have over the 2.0L? Displacement. That displacement comes from a bigger piston dish. The ringlands are more prone to cracking on a 2.5. It is simple physics. The bracing (semi closed deck) on the EJ255/7 is not as important as people think. Look at turbo honda open deck motors.

The jdms v8 are 31mm per runner and usdm are 29mm per. Its about 1200 for a set. Then hes talking about putting in on a jdm STi block so there really isnt anything "hybrid" about that, unless he went ej205 with STi heads. Its too expensive to use a 2.5 STi block on jdm Sti heads b/c of the piston bore, just use the 2.0 ej207, and spin it to 8.5k

Once you have been in a car that has a JDM 2.0L you will want that engine over a 2.5L. I can guarantee it.

Yup. Always liked the 2.0L above the 2.5. If you have ever ridden in a v8 STI, you will know why. We get the crap engine over here (because of USDM emissions mainly).

A JDM 2.0 EJ207 block is much different than the us 2.0 EJ205 block, the two can not be compared. An EJ207 block is just like the USDM EJ257 with a semi closed deck, not a full open like the EJ205.

STOP JACKING MY THREAD!!!!...j/k

I went to the track tonight and the fastest i ran was like 12.9 or .8 but i lost my freakin slip somewhere in the car running around so happy i lost the SOB so i can't tell u the stats but i have ...ummm let me look.
RT.5
60ft 1.83
1/8th 8.4
13.09 @ 105
Man peeling all the way thru 1st gear is pretty fun...but it sucks cause i can't get traction now UGH. ... but i know as soon as i get bigger tires it'll be faster!!! and i'm only at 19psi...so i'm pretty happy about the car cause i know it'll just get faster!
